Upcycled Children’s Toy Box

Project Brief: We transformed a simple wooden box into a multi-functional children’s toy box, complete with a built-in chess board and beautifully painted landscapes of Arizona at various times of day—day, night, sunrise, and sunset.

Execution: Our team used non-toxic paints to ensure safety and durability, focusing on Arizona’s diverse landscapes to inspire and educate. The top features a chess board, encouraging play and learning.

Impact: This project showcases our ability to combine functionality with artistic creativity, turning everyday items into inspiring pieces of functional art. The toy box serves not only as a storage solution but also as an educational tool that brings nature and strategy games into children’s daily lives.

Dia de los Muertos 2023

Project Brief: For the Dia de los Muertos festival at Mesa Arts Center, we crafted three vibrant tintamarresques—interactive photo boards that allowed festival-goers to become part of the art. Each piece featured traditional Day of the Dead themes, designed to engage and delight attendees.

Execution: Crafted with festive colors and iconic imagery, our tintamarresques brought the spirit of Dia de los Muertos to life. Designed for fun and interaction, they provided unique photo opportunities, enhancing the festival atmosphere and visitor experience.

Impact: The tintamarresques were a festival highlight, widely enjoyed by attendees of all ages. They not only added to the event’s visual appeal but also encouraged participation and helped create lasting memories for guests. These pieces demonstrated our commitment to community engagement and cultural celebration.
